José Xavier began his musical studies at El Sistema in Caracas Venezuela in 2001. In 2004, he began clarinet with Alan Troudart, former solo clarinetist of the Municipal Orchestra of Caracas and former student of Michel Lethiec.

In 2006 he was admitted to the Simon Bolivar Conservatory in Caracas where he remained until 2009. In 2006, he became Solo Clarinet of the Infantile Orchestra of Caracas and in 2007 he was selected to join the National Infantile Orchestra of Venezuela (under the Direction of Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle, etc.). In 2009 he was admitted to the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Nice and in 2011 he entered the class of Michel Lethiec. The following year, he won the Clarinet Prize. In 2015 he was admitted to the academy  Superior of Music of Strasbourg or  in  2018 obtains the DNSPM / License.

​ Currently, he studies at the Superior Academy of Music of Strasbourg in the class of Jean-Marc Foltz, with whom he also studies the bass clarinet to obtain the master of interpretation.  musical.

In his artistic career he already  product with sets  like the orchestra  Regional de PACA, the orchestra  philharmonic  of Nice, the philharmonic orchestra  of Monte Carlo (Monaco), the orchestra  philharmonic  from Strasbourg, the orchestra  Mulhouse symphony, The opera  from Perm, among  others. Also in festivals like MUSICA in Strasbourg or Mantova Chamber Music Festival.

He was a member of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra as Bass Clarinet at the Festival d'Aix en Provence in 2013 and 2014. He participated in master classes with Karl Leister, Isac Rodriguez, Michel Arrignon, Antonio Saiote, Frank Amet, Philippe Berrod, David Campbell, among others. He also participated in the academy of the Pablo Casals Festival in Prade (France) in 2013.
